Yes, Screen shot of speed test using Sun Broadband after one service technician assist me over the phone in trouble shooting my connection.
What we did?
1.Quit connection (disconnect) from Sun Broadband.
2.Remove the usb (Sun Broadband unit).
3.Clear all data catch of my laptop.
4.Re-start the laptop.
5.Wait for 3 minutes before plugging in the unit.
6.Connect the unit and go to speed test. The result was the above picture (after more than 5 minutes of waiting).
7.Wait for another 2 mintues while they check the signal in my area.
Verdict: “No problem in your area but we will make a report. Kindly observe your connection Sir and report to us”.
Observed? I have been experiencing this kind of connection for the past week that is why I am calling to report!
From satisfied to very frustrated customer here. The Sun Wireless center at SM Annex, Cyberzone was of no help either.

Okay naman siya dati eh. until the last two weeks. Their personnel at SM Cyberzone (Sunshop) is so confused in giving me different reasons why the download and upload readings are so slow. I ended up requesting that my complain be put in his report.
doc z was actually recommending this sun broadband…and you experienced this stuff with them…now, it made me think twice of using sun broadband. smartbro is think better sir mon according to jan.

Elmot more than 1 year na akong subscriber ng Sun Broadband and in fairness okay naman siya dati. Yung customer service nila ang hindi alam ang gagawin at pag paliwanag. Over subscribe na ba sila? may maintenace work daw sa area pero okay naman daw ang signal or coverage sa area namin.
What happened? Jeez, I guess you can only trust this network – short term! I heard a fellow badminton player swear by this service that was why I was endorsing this. Actually, A friend who lives here in Malabon and another one who lives in Mandaluyong. Both attest that SUN was exceptional from the rest of the other broadband wireless connections.

Doz C – okay naman talaga siya dati. Remember, I even recommended it to you when we were stuck in Cubao area and waiting for your car to be fix? Mukhang over subscribe na sila eh. Hilong-hilo yung tao nila kakapaliwag sa akin bakit ganun.
I think better ang SmartBro as per experience is concerned. Pero mas depende din talaga yun sa area yata. So far sa akin when I used my SmartBro USB modem, it was no problem at all.

I have been a subscriber of SBW for more than 10 months now. I had an acceptable speed connection with SBW during the first 6 months but experience slow connections during the last 4 months. I have been complaining about having slow connections at my area during peak hours. I have been trying to follow up with SBW customer service for the past 4 months now due to the slow connections. They agree that there is a problem with my area but they will never refund my payment since the reason that I have slow connections is due to congestion of users and not due to the system. This is because, if you would look at some of the literatures of SBW, there are small imprints that say that SBW could slow down during peak hours. For this reason, they are free from complaints and suit from DTI.
My subscription with SBW is not locked in for 2 years. I am decided to terminate my subscription from SBW even if I will waste my investment on their modem and router but you have to apply in their main office for termination which will really be a hassle. You can only also refund the 1000 pesos deposit after 6 months from service termination.
They said that SBW is continually improving their service in my area but doesn’t know when. So I asked if I could just hold my subscription with SBW while their connection is slow and would just re-subscribe when they already improved the system. They said that it could be possible but you have to pay 500 pesos for the reconnection fee.
Given the situation, I asked if I would just not pay the following months until my service is terminated. They said that after 2 months of non-payment, the SBW subscription would be disconnected but I would continually be charged every month even if the subscription is not being used until I pay and could receive a demand letter from their lawyers.
I asked where I could complain in writing and who to write to but they would never give a supervisor name. They just told me to email my complaint directed to a “To whom it may concern” to suncellular@digitel.com.ph
THIS IS A SUPER WARNING!
Think very well before subscribing to SBW.
TO ALL THOSE WHO HAVE SUBSCRIBED TO SBW AND IS NOT SATISFIED AND DOESNT HAVE THE TIME YET TO GO THROUGH THE HASSLES OF TERMINATING FROM THEIR SERVICE OR TO THOSE WHO HAVE A LOCK IN PERIOD OF 2 YEARS …
DONT PAY FOR THE NEXT 2 MONTHS JUST BEFORE DISCONNECTION!!!
LET THEM FEEL THAT THEY HAVE TO IMPROVE THEIR SYSTEM.
HOPEFULLY I WILL HAVE TIME TO REALLY GO TO THEIR MAIN OFFICE TO TERMINATE MY SUBSCRIPTION. HOPEFULLY I WILL NOT HAVE MORE HASSLES WHILE DOING THIS!

I have been using the net for quite sometime and was a necessity for me. I was using Bayantel internet for the past 2 years and have given me no roblem at all. There were true to advertisement of burst up speed and it was truly fast and for 899 mothly of unlimited interenet use, I could say it was worth it.
My nightmare began when I move out to relocate in sampaloc area. And since I was needing immediate connection, I have evaluated wireless broadband choices such as smartbro, globe tatoo and sun wireless broadband.
I have decided to choice Sun Wireless Broadband because it offers unlimited access to its subscriber. I thought since Sun have a little bit subscriber on its list, the tendency to have less traffic and congestion in bandwidth was remote thus the speed promised in their ads would be true…So I completed my application, choose the 3 months contract instead because I was hesitant in the first place..I paid 888 for the modem p lus the advance 799. Although its that much it was hard earned money and I expect its worth it choosing Sun wireless Broadband.
Here comes the best part, using SWB as they call it, it was initiall succes although a little bit slower of they promised it is now ok with me. But on the 4th day of my use, the nightmare of i-net user like me began. Imagine having a speed slower than dial up? On and off connection and worse 0 uload speed..although you could see I am connected to HSDPA “daw” or whatever..I can tolerate it for quite sometimes but 3 days of same speed, its like torturing myself of some sort..wheeew..
I hope sun would be kind enough to refund what I paid and improve their sytem otherwise SWB will stand to another name,”Sun is Worst Broadband” in the philippines.
Buti ka nga nakapag-test ka sa speedtest.net, yung sa akin ayaw… Sun BroadBand Wireless is the WORST SHIT among Internet Service Providers in the Philippines.
bumili ako ng kit mga nov 2009, at first super bilis ng connection… pero napapansin ko habang tumatagal bumabagal na … madalas nag 0.00kbps na talaga.
dati 700kbps to 1.5mbps ung range nya.
–di na maka download ng songs
– di maka stream sa youtube
– di na ako makalaro ng online games

Wala talaga kwenta Sun Broadband.. Sayang lang yung mga binabayaran ko sa kanila bagal naman net nila buti pa ng una mabilis then after 2 weeks bumagal na. Grabe na sila para lang sila nanloloko nyan. Dapat dyan ireklamo na natin. ipapacut ko na to Sun ko kung ayaw nila bahala cla sa buhay nila hindi na ako magbabayad. Saka naka apply na din nman ako ng dsl.
Tang inang SUN broadband na yan sana malugi sila!!!
Sa mga nagbabalak kumuha ng SUN please lang wag na,
sayang lang pera nyo sasakit lang ulo nyo sa net nilang napakabagal.
